Dr. Tomas Vrana
Managing Partner (Verwaltungsratsvorsitzender) - Zurich, Switzerland
As managing partner Tomas is heading the company’s business development, global fundraising services and corporate finance business. As of today, Tomas has advised 100+ private equity and investment funds, approximately EUR 15 billion in total value, on structuring and marketing. Tomas is personally involved in raising funds from investors. He has an excellent international network of clients and investors located mainly in the European Union and the Middle East. He has been a part of various high caliber delegations on missions to support the German government, including one to the Middle East, with the former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder and one with Germany’s Minister of Economy and Technology, Mr. Michael Glos.
Before Moravia, Tomas was co-founder of ecmg AG (Germany), where he was in charge of corporate finance and private equity advisory services. He worked with Steag AG and participated in the key management development program at Henkel. He, subsequently, became managing director at GFKL (subsidiary of Goldman Sachs International). Tomas holds an MBA from the University of Essen and a PhD in economics/private equity from the Carolo Wilhelmina University Braunschweig, Germany.
Managing Partner (Vorstand) – Munich, Germany
Norbert is in charge of the deal- and fund structuring division as well as fundraising in the European Union. He has been working with alternative assets since 1987.
Norbert has gained substantial experience in negotiating, structuring and closing mid-cap deals, including spin-offs, MBOs and MBIs, IPOs and public take-overs, mergers as well as restructuring. He has been on the supervisory board of several companies, co-founded and managed Odewald Hammermann & Stelzer (now Odewald & Compagnie), at the time the largest independent private equity fund in Germany.
As Director of Deutsche Handelsbank, an investment bank, he was co-responsible for Private Equity and Corporate Finance and has also been working as Investment Manager at the Matuschka Group, Germany’s first company investing into MBO-, Venture Capital- and Fund-of-Funds.Norbert has worked at Ernst & Young in Boston and Munich, where his assignments included audits, company valuations and advisory work involving acquisitions and divestitures of German mid-cap companies.
While at Ernst & Young, he also qualified as a Certified Public Accountant (USA) and as Wirtschaftsprüfer and Steuerberater (German chartered accountant and tax advisor). Norbert holds a Diplom-Kaufmann degree from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich and an MBA from Kansas State University (USA).
Dr. Peter W. Konrad
Managing Partner – Munich
Peter focusses on the corporate finance and entrepeneurial wealth support activities of our group. His experience in these fields began through own co-founding in the early 1990ies and continued with private equity management, coaching family businesses and management positions since the 2000ies.
During his professional career he gained a broad-with experience in strategic and financial management issues of small to mid-cap businesses in various industries. He is convinced that profound preparation is the most important basis for a solid decision making as well as for a smooth transaction process (invest- and sell-side). This is especially true when owners meet with corporate representatives to accomplish best-achievable terms and conditions.
He has taken the helm for family owned and private equity driven businesses a.o. in the machinery, service, tools as well as financial und service industry. This is where his expertise comes from when he advises family investors, shareholders, top managers and owner-driven companies.
Peter holds a masters degree (Business Administration) from WU Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien, Austria and a PhD from HSG Hochschule St. Gallen, Switzerland.
Managing Partner Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Mayank is a successful entrepreneur and investor based in Dubai. Mayank is in charge of client and deal sourcing as well as fundraising. As Managing Director he is also in charge of Moravia's asset management.
His deep knowledge in asset management and investments has made him a successful investor and one of the leading asset managers. Mayank has made several direct/indirect investments globally, managed proprietary and third party assets in excess of 1 billion USD and participated in several IPO’s globally as an investor himself.
Before Moravia Capital, Mayank managed several alternative asset funds and direct investments together with two other partners. He exited this company in 2014 with great success. Prior to this, he was responsible for building an alternative asset management portfolio for a well-known family office in Abu Dhabi. Here he was able to build long lasting relationships within the fund management industry.
Partner - Zurich, Switzerland
Al Razavi is in charge of fundraising activities in Middle East and the United States. He has more than 20 years experience working for Wall Street firms in the US. Al started his career at Lehman Brothers, and from there he worked for some of the top investment banking companies, including Sutro & Company and Merrill Lynch.
In the mid-1990s, Mr. Razavi, along with two of his colleagues, helped founding Maxwell Capital, a private investment banking firm. Maxwell eventually created and financed Go2net, which became one of the Internet’s top search engines. After Maxwell he moved to National Securities, United States where he remained until joining Moravia Capital.
He has helped raising money for multiple funds and private companies prior to their IPO.
Abhishek is supporting business development and fundraising activities in Middle East and Asia.
Abhishek has a long standing experience in the Investment Banking field. Before joining Moravia, he was working with ICICI Bank in the Global Investment Banking Group. He was responsible for advising companies on a wide range of domestic and cross-border transactions - including divestments, acquisitions and private equity syndications. He has advised several Indian companies in the hospitality and consumer goods segment.
Abhishek holds a degree in Business Administration with specialization in Finance from S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai. He is also a Chartered Accountant and a commerce graduate from H. R. College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai.
Business Development Analyst - Munich, Germany
Konstantin joined Moravia as a Junior Business Development Analyst in 2013.
He is supporting the European fundraising team and has access to the main European LP markets. He is also supporting the Moravia team in fund structuring, documentation and placement.
Konstantin holds an M.A. in Politics & Economics from the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich. He is a certified Private Equity Advisor (EBS/BAI) from the European Business School and a certified Financial Investment Professional from the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
He is currently studying towards his M.sc in Finance & Accounting at the University for Applied Sciences for Economics and Management in Munich.
